Bodegas Volver Madame Bobalu Bobal 2019
Grape varietal and region: It is qualified as excellent as it is characterised by scarce rain in Spring and September. The great temperature range in the last weeks of August and the beginning of September lent itself to slow ripening of the Bobal. The vineyard is located in the interior of Valencia with a Mediterranean climate with traces of continental due to the altitude. The average age of the vine is 25 years old, grown in lime soils.
Taste profile: Bodegas Volver Madame Bobalu Bobal has a brilliant ruby colour. A wonderful aromatic sensation in the nose, it eludes crystallized sweet fruits and subtly toasted spices due to the time spent in the barrel. Prominent notes of strawberry, cherries, raspberry and toasted sensation fills the mouth. It has a medium intensity in the mouth with well-balanced tannin that gives the wine its structure. This red finishes with delightful fruity notes.
Winemaking process: The harvest takes place when the ripening of the grape is at its optimal, usually during the first days of Autumn. Fermentation in vats, malolactic fermentation in steel vats and then 6 months in French barrels.
