Paolo e Noemia d'Amico

In 1985, Paolo and Noemia d’Amico founded a winery based in their mutual life experiences of elegance and luxury. Paolo’s family kept an extensive wine collection that influenced him from a young age. Noemia’s Portuguese family brought their historical wine tradition to Brazil when they immigrated to Rio de Janeiro. The pair took their shared passion for wine and formed Paolo e Noemia D’Amico, a name that describes the deep connection that founded their winery.



The Paolo and Noemia d’Amico’s Company, located in the suggestive Vaiano’s Valley, between the striking clay ravines and bordering with Lazio and Umbria, reflects in its whole the beauty of the surrounding landscape, either from the aesthetical point of view that for the quality of the wine produced.



The ambitious project of Paolo and Noemia d’Amico resulting in an award wining portfolio of 7 organic labels grown and produced in Umbria. Mainly using French varieties, the volcanic soil of the Calanchi Valley adds a new take on established variants. Once produced, the wines are stored to the sound of classical music in the cellar created by Noemia d'Amico and world renowned architect Luca Brasini. Made from tufo rocks, the cellar carves its way underneath the hanging garden, via magnificent structural arches that create an enchanting pathway to the library. Adjoint a special room where tasting take place, set amongst vintages from 30 years of Paolo e Noemia d’Amico wines.



The excellence of the d’Amico’s wine increased more and more through the years and today this company represents an important reality in the Italian enological context. D’Amico wines are heavily influenced by the ancient volcanic landscape of Viano, from the soil to the cellars, which are made out of the local volcanic Tufo stone.
