Auntsfield Estate

Auntsfield Estate is a family orientated winery based in the heart of Blenheim, New Zealand. Ben Cowley general manager/viticulturist and winemaker Luc Cowley have the aim of creating exciting, individual wines with personality that reflect this specific region.

Auntsfield Estate is the home of Marlborough’s first colonial vineyard and winery. The original vineyard was established in 1873 and made highly regarded wine for over 50 years. The dramatic hillside vineyard with its unique variety of soils is again producing premium wines under the guidance of the Cowley family. The proud heritage of the land is the inspiration to produce exciting hand crafted wines of balance and individuality that display the special terroir of this historic Marlborough vineyard.

The Auntsfield vineyard covers 65 hectares and is planted in Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Unlike many Marlborough vineyards, Pinot Noir is Auntsfield’s most planted variety, and is particularly suited to the old clay hillsides of Auntsfield.
