La Palazzetta Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva 2013
Is that candy apple I taste on this bold and structured ruby red Brunello? Opens in a delicious nose of dried berries and earth, with tertiary layers of oak, vanilla and tobacco. Powerful and ethereal palate balanced with leather tannins and rich acidity. This wine offers a real treat with forest berry, sweet liquorice and candy apple flavours. Ending in a smooth, savoury long finish.
After a careful selection and harvesting of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation begins at a controlled temperature. Maceration lasts for about 20 days with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged for 5 years in large French oak casks, followed by 8 months of bottle ageing.
