Giesen Marlborough Pinot Gris 2020

A delicious, award-winning Pinot Gris created with fruit from Marlborough, Waipara and Hawke’s Bay wine regions. Each parcel of Pinot Gris was manually harvested at optimum ripeness. Short skin contact adds flavour and texture to the wine. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, selected aromatic yeasts were used to make the wine more intense. Fermentation is stopped early to retain the small amount of acidity and natural sugar that gives the wine its off-dryness. The wine was held on lees for two months to help build mouth feel and texture, then blended and bottled.
Light gold colour. An enticing Pinot Gris with generous fresh pear, white peach and pineapple aromas. Nuances of white rose and honeysuckle add a touch of floral presence. Ripe fruit flavours on the palate are balanced with a light capsicum and subtle spice background. A creamy mouthfeel that leads into a lively and lingering off-dry finish.
