Edmeades Mendocino Zinfandel 2016
Edmeades is a zinfandel that’s been in the market for decades, holding a steady quality line throughout the years. Exuberantly pink-rimmed and purple-hearted.
The 2016 Mendocino County Zinfandel begins with warm and intense aromas of cinnamon and cloves. Those spices give way to aromas of ripe plummy fruit, blackberries, currants, and sage. The texture is round and the fruit expression is concentrated and lush. Slight notes of herbs, earth and barrel char. Soft tannins accentuate the richness of the wine, while pleasant acidity keeps it fresh on the finish.

AWARDS & ACCOLADES
This is a tasty, fruity, effusive wine that smells grapey, tastes jammy and almost sweet. It’s the kind of wine that a beginning wine drinker would appreciate and a jaded wine reviewer would be happy to sip. –Jim Gordon
